201003 Mr. Mericskay & Party's Hiking and Cycling Trip in the Countryside of Xishuangbanna

Mr. Mericskay & Party, 2 French couples, visited Xishuangbanna at the end of March, they preferred short hiking and biking in off-the-beaten countryside, and stay one or two nights in minority villages, to meet people of different ethnic groups and discover how their authentic lives were going on.

We did some nice sectional hiking in the west of our region, where mostly it was resided by mountainous Aini and Bulang ethnic groups, and stayed one night in a small Aini village to experience their real life. Later we moved to south, did some biking in Ganlanba Dai area to explore traditional Dai communities in the countryside, and stayed another night with local Dai family. After Ganlanba we had a section of relaxing biking across rainforest nature reserve to Menglun, where we visited tropical botanical garden, it was very nice since when we arrived most tourists were gone already, so quiet and refreshing. Mr. Mericskay and his friends' tour ended on Lao border, crossing border, they would extend their trip further into the depth of Laos.
